Attorney Jones is a native of Duplin County, Kenansville, North Carolina and a member of First Missionary Baptist Church of Kenansville, Rev. E. T. Coston, Pastor. After earning her law degree from NC Central University School of Law in 1994, she chose to return home in order to serve her community as an Assistant District Attorney. She has five years of legal experience as an Assistant District Attorney, trial court litigator. And in that capacity, she has treated everyone who appears in court with respect, professionalism, and fairness. Carol will carry those same characteristics with her to the bench -- respect, professionalism, and fairness.
At all times during her career, Attorney Jones has been involved in legal and community activities that enhanced the profession and provided needed services to the community. Her character, temperament, good judgment, compassion, positive attitude and respect for all people complement her legal abilities. These attributes are essential to the position of trust and responsibility that Assistant District Arrorney Carol Jones holds. We believe that she serves the 4th judicial district well and will be an asset to the bench for years to come.
As you may know, a campaign requires finances and we would further encourage and solicit contributions to the above address and please support her with you vote, prayers and encouragement of others to vote for her in the May 2, 2000 Primary Election.
The above was excepts from a letter from the committeee to elect Carol Jones District Court Judge.
