Alice Salinger, new program director for Helpline of Carteret Coounty Inc. for nine years, is now the director of the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP).
In her first two weeks on the job says Zack Hamlett, director of human services for Coastal Community Action Inc., the parent organization, she has brought her considerable experience to a new challenge busily matching willing volunteers with opportunities to serve.
Persons over age 55 who like to volunteer for programs should call Mrs. Salinger at 247-2626.
RSVP program offices are in the Leon Mann Jr. Enrichment Center in Morehead City.
