There is a wonderful article on Mr. George Exum on the front page of Raleigh's New and Observer, February 1, 1998. I remember the "Bossman" from my High School days, seeing this story on him, brought back to me a saying of his that went, as best I can remember, " Young man, your brains are not in your feet, for you to run from LIFE'S problems, but in your HEAD, for you to "think them through."
