......His name appears only once on the 20-page program of events. It is listed, below the Rev. Dumas Harshaw Jr., as co-chairman of the 1999 Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Committee. Yet there is virtually no event commemorating King in Raleigh that does not bear Bruce Lightner's fingerprints-- from the wreath-laying at the MLK MEMORIAL GARDENS, which LIGHTNER DESIGNED AND RAISED THE MONEY for himself, to the melodic exuberance of the nationallly acclaimed Martin Luther King Jr. All-Children's Choir, which Lightner founded..........
